Tory, and Kate, and Lucky, Oh My!

Obviously by now you know that this chick loves a good bargain. I love my old standbys like Forever 21, American Eagle and Urban Outfitters, but I also LOVE designers like Kate Spade and Tory Burch. This may seem like a contradiction to my thrifty persona, but I’ve learned that bargains and designer brands do not have to be mutually exclusive. Now, let me clarify: Am I going to buy a $500 pair of sandals? Hell to the no. I’m not a dang Kardashian for god’s sake. I’ve learned that with a little patience, you can have a celebrity wardrobe, on a waitresses budget. Recently I went outlet shopping and was able to pick up three designer products for $120! Check out how I scored these deals below:

Tory Burch

I have been lusting over a pair of Tory Burch flip flips for about two summers now. I think that they are so cute and are actually surprisingly comfortable. However, I was not willing to pay top dollar for a pair of flip flops, so you can imagine my excitement when I saw these bad boys on sale for $40. Now, similar pairs of Tory Burch flip flops go for between $50-$60 dollars, so this was about a $10 to $20 savings. Have you been coveting a pair of Tory Burch flip flops? Well it just so happens that they’re currently on sale online for $35! You know your feet deserve a little treat after being shoved into motorcycle boots and snow shoes all winter.

I’m pretty sure these adorable kate spade sandals were the best deal of the day. I had gone into kate spade hoping to find a new bag, since everything in the store was 50% off and than another 20% off handbags, but I couldn’t find anything I loved and I didn’t want to buy something simply because it was on sale. I was just about to give up hope on taking advantage of this amazing sale when I saw these beauties. I tried them on and fell in love. I love the girly bow details (totally my style) and the shoes are made out of that super comfortable jelly material. These shoes were originally $78.00 and came to $39.00 after the 50% discount. I also had a 10% off coupon, which bought the shoes down to $35.10! kate spade is one of my favorite designers, so being able to walk out with a pair of sandals whose price didn’t make me want to throw my face in a pillow and cry, was a total win.

Lucky Brand

As much as I love shopping there’s one thing I absolutely hate having to look for: jeans. I’m on the short side, but my curvier hip area makes it difficult to find jeans at the right length that also fit in the waist. Generally, I find that jeans that are the perfect length are soul-crushingly (and butt-crushingly) too small, and jeans that fit in the waist look like Shaq could fit in them length wise. I usually just stick to my American Eagle jeans which I absolutely adore, but when I passed by Lucky Brand I thought I might as well give them a try. As soon as I walked in I saw these skinny jeans with the studded details and immediately knew I had to have them. I don’t have any jeans with these kinds of fun accents, so I knew it would be a welcome addition to my closet. However, as I grabbed a couple of different sizes and headed to the dressing room, I feared that my ASSests would yet again come in the way of a great pair of jeans. To my surprise, the first pair that I tried on fit like a glove and was the perfect length. I’m not kidding people, this was like a Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants moment where these jeans had magical powers and looked awesome. The best part? They were originally $74.50, but at 40% off, they came to $44.70. Clearly the name Lucky Brand is right on point.

In total, with tax and everything included, for the Tory Burch flip flops, the kate spade sandals and the Lucky Brand jeans, my final total for the day was $122.89. That is not including the $2.00 cinnabon I scarfed down and may prevent me from wearing said skinny jeans but whatever, we’ll keep that between us. Overall, I’d say it was a pretty successful day! So check out your nearest outlet malls and stay up to date on sales and specials events at your favorite stores. Just don’t eat to many cinnabons once you get there….
