Athleisure (n)- casual clothing designed to be worn both for exercising and for general use. If you’re surprised that this fashion trend is defined in the dictionary, join the club, but it sure did help provide a succinct little intro for this post! This trend has become a favorite amongst celebrities who have been serving up some major fashion inspo lately. This has become my absolute favorite weekend style since it’s easy, but also polished. See below for a few of my favorite takes on the trend below:
I’m a big Selena Gomez fan, from her music to her body positivity messages to her style. In regards to the later, girlfrand has been slaying the athleisure trend with trips to the airport, outings with friends and everything in between. The matching look featured above is effortlessly chic, comfortable, and can be easily replicated. Urban Outfitters has become a go-to for trendy Champion apparel and while that may be a great place to find a specific item, good ole Macy’s sells essentially the same styles for a lot less. You can get the sweatshirt and joggers featured above for under $100. Also, while I usually swap in High Tops for heels, this look is definitely upgraded tenfold with the heels. This pair from ASOS are only $40 and can be worn with a look like the one above or with a dress for a night out.
I don’t think it would be fair to write a post about athleisure without including a look from the queen herself, Gigi Hadid. Seriously, I think the Hadid sisters would have to duke it out for the title of “Queen of Athleisure” since they’re both constantly rocking killer looks. I’m OBSESSED with the one featured above and honestly, will definitely be buying this Aerie Hometown Sweatshirt and Keds X Alaina Marie to replicate this look ASAP. Add a pair of leggings and a bright bomber jacket and you’ll have yourself a look that will have you counting down the minutes until fall.
With Hailey Baldwin’s new colab and title of “Style Creator” with Adidas, it’s safe to say we can expect some more fire looks from JBiebs fiance. The classic Adidas tracksuit is definitely iconic, but can be a little pricey for those of us on a budget. Replicate the look with this jacket and track pants from PrettyLittleThing. Add a crop top or bodysuit and some sneakers and you’ll be #streetstylegoals.
